Maria was appointed to the board in December 2025. She is a distinguished leader in financial services and superannuation, bringing more than 30 years of executive experience in global investment management to her role.

Her career includes 15 years as a portfolio manager and 15 years in executive leadership roles, including 12 years as Country Head of global asset management business Franklin Templeton. This extensive experience has built deep expertise in financial markets, institutional investment strategies, and investment management governance.

In recognition of her significant contributions to the business and finance sectors and the community, Maria was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2019.
