Erica was instrumental in standing up the Australian Government's Health and Medical Research Office's $20 billion endowment Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) and Biomedical Translation Fund (BTF).

Erica Bremner Kneipp’s experience spans all levels of government, the private and not-for-profit health sectors in Australia and she is known for her passion for evidence-based policy development, research practice and translation. She is currently Research Director, Human Health at CSIRO. Prior to this, she joined Australian National University (ANU) in 2019 as Head of Research Strategy for the College of Health and Medicine, after a decade in Commonwealth Health supporting national portfolios and Ministers. In addition to setting up the MRFF and BTF she led the national agenda on clinical trial reform working with states to make Australia a preferred destination for trials. She spent a decade working for the Western Australian Department of Health  on innovative models of care of high-cost interventions and remote service delivery. Erica is also a Non-Executive Director on AusBiotech, the peak body for the life sciences sector.
