Erica Kneipp’s experience spans all levels of government, the private and not-for-profit health sectors in Australia and she is known for her passion for evidence based policy development, research practice and translation.
She is currently Research Director, Human Health at CSIRO. Prior to this, she joined Australian National University (ANU) in 2019 as Head of Research Strategy for the College of Health and Medicine, after a decade in Commonwealth Health supporting a number of national portfolios and Ministers. She was instrumental in establishing the Medical Research Future Fund and Biomedical Translation Fund and worked with states to position Australia as a preferred destination for clinical trials. Erica now works to enhance ANU medicine, population health and psychology research from discovery through to translation and commercialisation in collaboration with key academic, industry, government and consumer stakeholders and funders
