ithree institute

The ithree institute brings together a team of scientists with diverse skill sets who collectively address key challenges in the understanding and control of infectious diseases in humans and animals. Our senior scientists have recently refined the key research themes under which they will work together to increase their impact in the antibiotic resistance, food safety and infectious disease space.

The institute is based at the University of Technology Sydney. Launched in 2010, it was born out of the foundations laid by The Institute for the Biotechnology of Infectious Diseases (IBID) that was established in 2002 to develop and expand the university’s infectious disease research.
